Duties
Provides technical guidance and field maintenance support to dam structure and its appurtenances, dams, levees, canals, culverts, rivers, roads, recreation areas, and grounds. Plans use of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a day-to-day, project by project and on a week to week or month to month basis. Establishes deadlines, priorities, work sequences and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods and policies set by supervisors. Provides operational and environmental input into sections project plans, Project Management Plans, Environmental Impact Statements, and management documents involving the South Florida area of responsibility. Provides for and ensures Project Security, Mobilization and Emergency Management activities are planned for and implemented.

One year trial/probationary period may be required. Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a(n) Construction, Engineering, & Infrastructure Career Field position. A trial or probationary period may be required. Hiring incentives such as a recruitment/relocation bonus, service credit for leave, and student loan repayment may be authorized (subject to available budget). Relocation (PCS) expenses may be authorized (subject to available budget) if the selecting official determines the relocation is in the best interests of the government. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time Must have a pre-employment and annual physical. Incumbent may be required to work during inclement weather conditions Incumbent must be available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, "Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program", or a memorandum of understanding as well as submit to pre-employment and random drug testing. Incumbent must possess a valid state driver's license. Incumbent must possess a valid Class a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at time of employment with no manual transmission restrictions. Incumbent is subject to recall 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
