Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.

The Role

Lead manufacturing and project-engineering activities supporting the Gen 6 Assembly line at the Tonawanda facility. The role will coordinate assembly equipment installation, production readiness, issue resolution, contractor and OEM interfaces, and G-Comply preparation through launch and sustained production.

What You'll Do

  • Lead engineering execution for Gen 6 Assembly equipment installation, integration, commissioning, and readiness.

  • Coordinate daily activities across assembly manufacturing, maintenance, controls, safety, contractors, and OEM partners.

  • Drive closure of assembly-line installation issues, punch-list items, equipment conflicts, and schedule risks.

  • Support G-Comply planning, evidence readiness, and completion for assigned Assembly equipment and work areas.

  • Review Assembly layouts, equipment interfaces, access/egress, safeguarding, utilities, and installation plans.

  • Track Assembly milestones, constraints, actions, and escalation items; communicate status to leadership.

  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions affecting Assembly launch and sustained production.

  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with GM safety, quality, manufacturing, and engineering standards.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.

  • Three or more years of relevant manufacturing, project, equipment-installation, or plant-engineering experience.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, and equipment suppliers.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, risks, technical issues, and action closure.

  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work on-site at the Tonawanda facility and support project needs as required.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with automotive manufacturing, engine assembly, or large-scale equipment installation.

  • Familiarity with GM G-Comply, machine safeguarding, G-DHS, and equipment access/egress requirements.

  • Experience with controls, electrical, mechanical, or process-engineering interfaces.

  • Experience supporting production launch, commissioning, or continuous improvement.
