Your work will span investigations, feasibility studies, remedial excavation, dredging and capping design, contractor procurement, and engineering support during design and construction. You will collaborate with experienced scientists and engineers, mentor junior staff, and develop practical, protective remedies for rivers, lakes, and industrial waterfronts.

- Plan investigations and evaluate sediment chemistry, bathymetry, geotechnical conditions, and other site data;
- Evaluate and compare remedial alternatives and their costs and benefits.
- Work with geotechnical, coastal, structural, groundwater modelers and environmental specialists across offices to address cap performance, cap settlement, dredge slope and riverbank stability, erosion, residuals, ground and surface water quality, and adjacent infrastructure.
- Develop approaches for dredging, capping, sediment processing, disposal, and habitat restoration.
- Support pilot studies through vendor coordination, permitting, field planning, and evaluation of results.
- Support contractor procurement, bid evaluation, submittal review, construction oversight, and resolution of field questions and proposed construction changes.
- Direct junior staff on project and field assignments, establish clear safety and technical expectations, verify their interpretation of results, and coach them in design and project management.
- Prepare and review reports, plans, specifications, and proposal content in accordance with project quality requirements.
- Communicate clearly with clients, agencies, contractors, and colleagues.
- Track progress and project costs, communicate status promptly, document and obtain authorization for scope and budget changes, and coordinate timely invoice preparation and follow-up on outstanding payments.
- Strengthen client relationships through reliable project delivery, recognize opportunities for additional work, and support proposals and selected client development activities.
- Travel to attend client meetings and site visits in person, up to 25% of the time depending on project stage.
