Job Description
About the role:
The Procurement Manager - Chemicals is responsible for setting and implementing the procurement strategy for the Taylor Adhesive business within North America. The Procurement Manager will focus on ensuring competitiveness and value creation within the regional procurement spend while driving the 5 levers strategic plan that will enable spend and category optimization while creating value for the Taylor Adhesive business. This position is based out of Avery Dennison’s corporate headquarters in Mentor, Ohio and reports directly to the Procurement Director of Chemical, Films & Paper, serving as an integral member of the Taylor Adhesive leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
This role operates on a hybrid schedule out of Avery Dennison’s corporate headquarters in Mentor, Ohio.
Lead and implement Project Nova initiatives and strategic procurement plans within assigned business categories.
Effectively leverage collective commodity spend across divisions to maximize negotiation power, supply security, and total cost of ownership.
Manage supplier relationships and execute quarterly business reviews to drive holistic performance and vendor accountability.
Develop and implement long-term strategic sourcing strategies geared toward developing competitive advantage in materials and reducing supply base risk.
Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, and cross-functional teams to identify future sourcing needs, drive sustainability, and introduce innovative suppliers.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of purchasing or related experience with supervisory and leadership experience.
Prior experience leading complex RFx, supplier/vendor negotiations, and developing contracts.
Proven vendor selection and negotiation skills with strong business acumen and a digital mindset.
Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex market data for executive consumption and travel domestically as needed (<10%).

Pay Transparency:
The salary range for this position is $127,200 - $189,952 / year.
The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
