Duties
What to Expect Provides physical fitness training to authorized patrons to include: Active Duty, Retirees, Family Members, and Department of War (DoW) Civilian employees. Organizes and conducts physical fitness assessments to include: screening and risk stratification, measurement and evaluation of an individual's aerobic capacity, body fat percentage, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, blood pressure, and interpretation of assessment results. Instructs patrons in proper use of exercise equipment while training and informs on methods to self-monitor progress either verbally or in writing use of equipment, safety and well-being. Once required training for HITT Instructor-Level 2 is successfully completed and a minimum of 6 months in the Level-1 position, employee(s) will automatically be converted to HITT Instructor-Level 2 position. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
