GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- Tyonek is seeking individuals to instruct Military and Government Civilian students in Defensive Cyber Operations skills. Cyber Instructors must pass the course they are hired to instruct in; courses range from 2 weeks to 9 weeks in length. Cyber Instructors must pass a 2-week Instructor Methodology Course (how to be an instructor). Cyber Instructors must pass Instructor evaluations to become qualified as an instructor and maintain qualification.
- This job is contingent upon contract award.
DUTIES
- Instruct lessons in course assigned. Most lessons are team-taught with 1 primary and 2 - 3 supporting instructors to facilitate students during labs.
- In-depth knowledge (subject matter expertise) of lessons is required to maintain instructor qualification.
- Develop new and/or update existing lessons as assigned.
- Work may be split into two shifts, S and T. Duty hours for "S" shift are 0700-1600 and for "T" shift, 1500-0001. Shift preference will be taken into consideration where possible.
- Other Duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in a related area is required.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of Cyber Warfare/ Defensive Cyber Operations is desired.
- IAT/M Level II certification is required
- AF Cyber Weapon System experience and/or Cyber Protection Team Experience is preferred
- Top Secret Clearance/SCI required.
- The following certifications are desired: GNFA, GCIH, GSEC, CISSP, CASP, Sec+.

- Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
- On occasion must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
- Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
