WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role reports to the Manager of Nike Sportswear Print & Pattern and joins a highly creative, energetic, and collaborative design team. The designer partners closely with Color, Apparel, Graphic Design, Footwear, Development, and Business teams to bring a unified seasonal narrative to life across product.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is looking for a passionate and inventive designer who can turn inspiration and creative direction into original print and pattern expressions. This person brings a strong eye for color, composition, detail, and craft, along with a deep understanding of how artwork translates across apparel and footwear. They balance hands-on creativity with technical expertise, using both physical and digital methods to develop compelling, production-ready work. The ideal candidate understands print applications, pattern repeats, textile processes, and production feasibility. They navigate seasonal calendars with focus, stay organized as priorities shift, and communicate ideas with clarity. A collaborative mindset is essential. This designer builds strong relationships across functions, seeks multiple solutions, welcomes feedback, and contributes wherever the team needs support. They are curious about street style, subcultures, art, sport, and the Nike consumer, using those insights to create relevant work with a distinct point of view.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Fine Art or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in print and pattern design, preferably within apparel, footwear, or a related consumer product industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, with strong drawing, painting, dye, and digital artwork skills.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating original print and pattern design, color theory, repeat techniques, textile processes, and translation onto three-dimensional product.
  • Excellent organization, time management, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will create original seasonal print and pattern artwork for Nike Sportswear across men’s and women’s apparel, footwear, and tees. You will move ideas from research and creative exploration through production-ready execution, bringing energy, relevance, and a unified visual voice to each collection.

  • Research art, culture, street style, sport, and print trends to develop explorations aligned with seasonal narratives, creative direction, and consumer needs.
  • Create original artwork using hand-rendered and digital techniques across men’s and women’s apparel, footwear, and tees.
  • Translate print and pattern concepts onto three-dimensional products and the body using physical and digital tools.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork, including accurate repeats and schematics.
  • Apply knowledge of print techniques, production methods, and feasibility to solve design, application, and manufacturing challenges.
