Alternative Investment Services Portfolio Solutions Group Director

We're seeking a Director to join the Alternative Investment Services team supporting the Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG). This role provides leadership across investment operations and portfolio management support for multi-asset funds, separately managed accounts, and private equity vehicles. The Director will drive operational excellence through oversight of portfolio accounting, cash management, valuation governance, third-party service providers, and reporting functions while ensuring robust controls, scalability, and alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Advanced Specialist position at Director level within Product Support & Services IM, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

Oversee portfolio investment, subscription, redemption, and cash activity across multiple PSG portfolios and custodial relationships, ensuring timely settlement, effective liquidity management, and comprehensive operational oversight of complex multi-asset investment structures.

Serve as a strategic partner to investment management by delivering portfolio analytics, performance reporting, and actionable insights, while responding to complex stakeholder inquiries and supporting key business initiatives.

Provide governance and oversight of third-party service providers responsible for portfolio accounting activities, ensuring the accurate maintenance of portfolio records and general ledger activity within Investran and related systems.

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of portfolio transactions and valuation data through rigorous oversight of investment activity, underlying fund reporting, and pricing processes proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Lead periodic reconciliations of transactions, valuations, management and performance fees, capital activity, and NAV allocations between internal records and third-party service providers, ensuring financials accuracy and strong control adherence.

Oversee cash management and reconciliation activities across multiple custodial relationships, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items and minimizing operational risk.

Direct the preparation and review of portfolio performance reporting for investment teams and clients, leveraging underlying investment valuations, derivatives activity, and cash balances to support investment decision-making and client communications.

Manage compliance monitoring activities, identifying potential breaches of investment guidelines or governing documents and escalating matter as appropriate to mitigate risk.

Support regulatory, financial, and fund audits; participate in valuation governance processes; contribute to board and committee reporting; and provide operational expertise in new product launches and strategic business initiatives. What you'll bring to the role:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.

A minimum of three years of experience in operations is required; experience with accounting is preferred.

Knowledge of hedge funds, private equity, or fund of funds investment accounting or derivatives, or experience with Investran, is a plus.

Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to effectively summarize findings, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.

Strong relationship management and communications skills.

Detail-oriented and highly motivated.

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
