Unit Secretary

Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday 7:00am - 7:30pm

Location: Norton Healthcare Pavilion 315 East Broadway, 6th floor, Louisville, KY 40202

Unit Secretary Position Summary

The Unit Secretary performs clerical, reception, and coordination of tasks to facilitate smooth functioning of the Inpatient Unit. Receives and directs visitors on the Inpatient Unit and communicates in a professional and positive manner with patients, family, team members, hospital staff and physicians.

Unit Secretary Position Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CNA certification in Kentucky strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• One year home health aide or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Computer usage skills, including experience with Windows-based operating system required.
• Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette required.
