The Opportunity

Carolina Solar Services is entering an exciting new chapter. With new investors, ambitious growth plans, and a significant opportunity to expand its impact in the solar energy market, CSS is building for its next stage of growth. At the center of this effort is a CEO navigating an increasingly complex agenda, competing priorities, and relationships spanning customers, investors, employees, and industry partners. To help CSS realize its ambitions, the CEO needs a highly capable Chief of Staff who spikes in terms of organization, analytical rigor, structured problem solving, and disciplined execution.

The Chief of Staff will work directly with the CEO, combining executive support with project leadership, strategic problem-solving, and coordination across the business. The Chief of Staff will help the CEO operate at his best and ensure that the company's most important priorities receive the analysis, coordination, and follow-through they require. • Step into emerging business challenges as needed, bringing structure, analytical thinking, and a bias to action to help the team get results

Maximize the CEO's Time and Effectiveness

  • Help the CEO prioritize his time and attention across competing demands, protecting his time for strategic thinking, key decisions, and important relationships
  • Help design and coordinate the CEO's operating rhythm, including leadership meetings, planning sessions, and periodic reviews of key business priorities
  • Establish and maintain effective systems for tracking the CEO's priorities, key commitments, important deadlines, and follow-up actions
