Role Accountability


This position leads a team responsible for fulfilling business loan processing services and documentation with accuracy, timeliness and client satisfaction to support the growth of our commercial and small business loan portfolio.


Nature and Scope


The Business Loan Processing Supervisor is responsible for accurate and timely generation of loan documentation to support Allegacy’s commercial and small business loan originations. The supervisor will lead a team of 3-4 processors. This team supports our Business Services (commercial and small business) sales team in meet closing deadlines internally and externally (attorney firms). The team provides loan documentation which ultimately mitigates Allegacy’s portfolio risk. The supervisor will be accountable to assist Business Services in meeting member expectations in an ever changing environment, as well as, prioritizing all task responsibilities accordingly. This position reports directly to the AVP, Lending Services.


Specific Accountabilities

  • Develop each employee to their highest potential by identifying their areas of improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting the employee’s performance.
  • Recognize employees who perform at a high level.
  • Hold employees accountable for their performance, attitude and behavior.
  • Meet with each employee to review performance, set goals for performance and develop plans to improve employee’s performance.
  • Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring employees deliver consistently high quality service to both internal and external member that is in alignment with our Brand Culture.
  • Assign, direct, coordinate and review work performed by staff to ensure member service expectations are met
  • Train and supervise staff
  • Assist Loan Processors with issues that may arise and help provide solutions with their loan packages.
  • Evaluate system updates and releases for process efficiencies
  • Partners with Business Services Specialist Supervisor to identify opportunities and efficiencies within processes and services.
  • Drive efforts to maintain a library of working instructions and ensure updates as appropriate.
  • Partners with Loan Support Supervisor to align service and support tasks appropriately. Ensures adequate cross training, to include but not limited to, loan research, posting payoffs, producing satisfactions and release deeds.
  • High level of knowledge of wire processes and ability to verify wire requests for processing.
  • Responsible for ensuring general ledger discrepancies are address timely.
  • Assist and/or lead area projects that will provide the ability to move the area with forward growth and efficiency.



Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business processing as well as knowledge of Business Services type products and services with an emphasis on operating firms, commercial real estate and residential construction originations, documentation, and servicing.
  • Working knowledge of compliance, lien recordation, lending laws and regulations, title and hazard insurance, and the terminology involved in all third party reports is required.
  • Excellent phone, oral, written and presentation skills (to include word processing, spreadsheets, power point and data base management)
  • Familiarity with loan documentation programs and servicing are a necessity.


Education and Experience:

  • Education Preferred: Associate’s degree preferred
  • Experience Required: 1 year of supervisory experience plus 3 years experience in Commercial Lending
  • Experience Preferred: 4 years of experience in Commercial Banking
