Duties
You will serve as the Deputy Branch Head for Strategic Initiatives, for the Submarine Industrial Base (SIB) office You will serve as principal deputy to the Strategic Initiatives Branch Head, supporting management and execution of the Submarine Industrial Base strategic engagement portfolio and representing the Branch Head, as delegated You will lead assigned strategic initiatives and complex special projects; establishes project plans, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, performance measures, and implementation approaches. You will coordinate across Submarine Industrial Base functional areas and with government, industry, academia, workforce organizations, and state and local stakeholders to advance program priorities and resolve execution issues. You will develop executive-level briefings, decision papers, status reports, dashboards, and other products that support senior-leader engagements, decisions, and follow-up actions. You will supervise assigned personnel; establishes priorities and performance expectations; provides technical and programmatic guidance; and supports workforce planning, training, and professional development.

Additional information
This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-04 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position has a control point; thus the salary range may be capped at the GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $191,850. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched. This announcement uses the Acquisition Demo Business and Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
