JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Opportunity
The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning efforts. This position is also responsible for washing appliances, emptying trash, scrubbing floors, and other cleaning duties as needed.
What You'll Work On
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide the highest quality of service at all times.
- Ensure preparation stations and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized.
- Comply with sanitation/safety standards within Food Services and ensure all personnel follow safety/sanitation standards.
- Ensure availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware by cleaning and restocking areas and cook stations.
- Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen.
- Clean food prep stations and sanitize.
- Sweep and mop floors, especially in the event that items have broken or spilled.
- Take out the trash and rinse garbage cans.
- Assist with other cleaning/sanitization needs as requested.

- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 20% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work seated for approximately 10% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 5% of a typical working day.
- Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
- Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
- Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.
Required Qualifications
- Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 1+ years of experience working in food service management, hospitality management, customer service, or related field.
- Working knowledge of sanitation procedures.
The base pay for this position is
$14.85 – $29.65/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
