Summary
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Duties
Assists the Auto Skills Hobby Center Supervisor in overall operation and administration of a MCCS automotive parts resale activity which may consist of the following: (1) taking charge of a special merchandise sales area or assisting the Supervisor in overall efficient operation of the department; (2) assisting in maintaining all store records and files such as daily preparation of accounting records, operational and inventory reports or other reports as needed; (3) assisting the Supervisor in scheduling, initial training, continuing instruction and efficient utilization of all personnel within assigned are or department; (4) utilizing inventory management techniques and security principles to safeguard organizational supplies, products, equipment, and property (5) responsible for ordering supplies and retail items and insures that they are maintained at acceptable stock levels. Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees. Approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards. Training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, and take appropriate action. May perform sales associate duties and work in other areas or departments as assigned by the Supervisor. May operate a vehicle in the performance of duties. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact, for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned.
