Job Description

The Float Relationship Banker builds and strengthens customer relationships while providing flexible support across multiple branch locations. This role engages customers through in-person interactions, scheduled appointments, and virtual channels to deliver trusted financial guidance with a digital-first mindset. As an experienced banker, the Float Relationship Banker adapts quickly to different branch environments, fills staffing needs, shares best practices, and provides coaching and on-the-job support to less experienced bankers.

Strong client relationships are built on trust, understanding customers’ financial goals, and identifying solutions that meet their unique needs. The Float Relationship Banker assesses and addresses banking needs, obtains and processes customer and account information, educates customers on deposit and lending products and services, and recommends appropriate financial solutions. By combining customer expertise with operational flexibility, this role helps ensure a consistent client experience and supports the success of branch teams across the market.

  • Travel to defined branch clusters as assigned within district
    • Mileage and drive time will be paid for any time or distance beyond your regular home branch commute
  • Flexible work schedule, 6 days per week, will be covering traditional branches and in-store locations
  • Reports to float pool manager at market level
  • This position also requires 2 or more hours of driving per week.

Required Qualifications:

-National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z and ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory registration requirements, including, but not limited to maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Five or more years of job related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $25.06 - 30.62
