Staff Psychologist (BHIP)

Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Duties

This is an Open Continuous Announcement Until September 30, 2026.Qualified applicants will be referred every other week starting August, 12 2026, until closing of announcement or until position is filled. This Psychologist, Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) position is located in the Mental Health Service at the Manchester VA Health Care System, Manchester, New Hampshire. The duties and responsibilities are to practice independently in the provision of psychological services, consulting with peers, colleagues, and supervisors as appropriate. Duties of this include, but are not limited to: Psychologists diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological assessments and/or neuropsychological screenings and assessments, treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities, and provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders. Among the modalities provided are individual, family, and group psychotherapies and other interventions such as behavioral health and community interventions. Psychologists consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Staff Psychologists may be involved in program evaluation, teaching, training, and research activities. The incumbent is assigned as the Team Lead for the Primary Care Mental Health Integration program- an interdisciplinary treatment team which provides co-located mental health services in the Primary Care (PC), Urgent Care (UC), Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), and other clinic locations, as assigned. The employee provides direct services for a diverse group of Veterans and their families.
