Summary
This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated August 12,2024. This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Duties
As a PROGRAM MANAGER (CWMD TECHNOLOGIES) at the GS-0340-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the Program Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned programs and projects. Develops detailed project plans, identifies key cost, schedule, and performance parameters, and identifies resource and manpower requirements. Utilizes tools and methods to track progress throughout the project life cycle, convenes regular in-progress reviews, and maintains interaction with all stakeholders. Regularly briefs senior leadership on project status, significant developments, and changes in resources that impact established timelines and milestones. Ensures compliance with all required acquisition processes per the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to manage contract performance.

ACQUISITION POSITION: This is an Acquisition Workforce position in the Program Management functional area. The incumbent will be required to become certified in the Practitioner tier within 4 years. The incumbent is required to acquire a minimum of 40 continuous learning points (CLPs) every fiscal year as a goal and 80 CLPs being mandatory within 2 years. RE-EMPLOYED ANNUITANT: This position DOES NOT meet criteria for re-employed annuitant.
