applications. This position will support our White Knight Fluid Handling division in Kamas, Utah. White Knight Fluid Handling is a leading supplier of pumps and fluid transfer technology to the Semiconductor, Solar Cells, LEDs, flat-panel displays, electronic, and industrial markets.

The Saw Operator / Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently operating saw equipment to cut raw materials to specified dimensions while also supporting the movement, staging, storage, and delivery of materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This position plays an important role in maintaining a steady flow of material to machining and production areas and helping prevent production delays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate band saws and other material-cutting equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Review work orders, drawings, cut lists, and production schedules to determine required material and cut dimensions.

  • Measure and verify material before and after cutting to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Load, unload, and properly position raw materials on saw equipment.

  • Move raw materials, cut material, tooling, pallets, and work-in-process using appropriate equipment.

  • Stage cut material for machinists and production departments according to job requirements and priorities.

  • Identify, label, and organize cut material to maintain traceability and prevent material mix-ups.

  • Maintain an organized and safe material storage and staging area.

  • Monitor material requirements and communicate shortages or discrepancies to supervisors or production personnel.

  • Assist with receiving, relocating, and storing incoming raw material.

  • Remove scrap and maintain the saw and surrounding work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Inspect finished cuts for proper dimensions and report quality issues or equipment problems.

  • Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, material-handling practices, and lockout/tagout procedures.

  • Coordinate with machinists, production supervisors, and planners to ensure material is available when needed.

  • Prioritize material preparation based on the production schedule to minimize machining downtime.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a band saw or similar industrial cutting equipment preferred.

  • Manufacturing, machining, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.

  • Ability to read work orders, measurements, and basic manufacturing drawings.

  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and scales.

  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials of varying sizes and weights.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the machining and production teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required by the job.

  • Ability to safely work around industrial equipment, moving materials, and manufacturing operations.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation.  If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.  Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.  Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.

$23.00 - $25.15
