A Day in the Life
We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

Our Neuromodulation Operating Unit, Pain Interventions business provides advanced therapies for chronic pain other neurological conditions. At Medtronic, the Territory Manager II is an intermediate level role that is considered a sales representative in our Pain and Interventional Therapies. This role willāÆassist in managing a large territory base of business and growth by initiating, supporting and developing strategic implanting centers and assisting in developing key referral networks.āÆIn certain geographies, this role will be the account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territoryās customer needs including account level reimbursement responsibility.āÆThis includes coordinationāÆof all support activities and development of sales partnerships with distribution alliances.āÆThis role reports directly to a District Sales Manager, partners with other Sales Representative peers as well as with a Clinical Specialist team.Ā

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Ā
Sells implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staffĀ
Partners with strategic implanting centers to develop the account/implanter practice through;Ā
Providing product and therapy technical support and service,āÆĀ
Including consultation at strategic management and analysis of sales trends,Ā
Utilization of appropriate Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growthāÆĀ
Ensures personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicableĀ
Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality workāÆĀ
Generates new sales: Develops leads, recruits new surgeons, qualifies prospects, and makes sales callsĀ
Grows new Interventional and Pain opportunitiesĀ
Works with limited supervision, utilizing corporate resources to generate revenue and meet/exceed quotaĀ
Aggressively seeks new customers and formulates and follow plans for such action as directed by the District Sales ManagerĀ
Responds to customer complaints in accordance with Medtronic policy and advise District Sales Manager and Medtronic promptly of any situation beyond scope of authorityĀ
Stays attentive to competitorās product and merchandizing practices and to keep the District Sales Manager informed concerning themĀ
Prepares and submits call reports as required by District Sales ManagerĀ
Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directedĀ
Cooperates with all personnel on the execution of Company programsĀ
Aids in creating and implementing an annual business plan with quarterly updatesĀ
Aids in providing service to customers per their individual needsĀ
Responds in a timely manner to all reporting requirements and requestsĀ
Adheres to company policies and conducts all business in an ethical mannerĀ
Manages business within assigned budgets and with Medtronic profitability in mindĀ
Other activities as they arise, as assigned by the sales leadershipāÆĀ

Qualifications
Must Have: Minimum RequirementsāÆĀ

High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences; orĀ
Associates Degree and 4+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences; orĀ
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences
Nice to HaveāÆ: PreferencesĀ
Experience calling on physicians in one or more of the following or related referral accounts ā Neurology, Physiatrist, Oncology, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care Physician/GPĀ
Solid knowledge of the Reimbursement climateĀ
Minimum of 1 year referral and therapy developmentĀ
Experience with surgeonsĀ
Experience in developing new, innovative marketsĀ
Experience in making multiple referral calls on a daily basisĀ
Familiarity with the O.R.Ā
Solid job skills in business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis; preferred knowledge of managed careĀ
Experience / knowledge of Physiology/clinical therapiesĀ
Experience with / knowledge of Implantable devicesĀ
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skillsĀ
Team orientedĀ
Conceptual/consultative sales skillsĀ
