Duties

***This is a Title 5 National Guard Employee position description.*** To provide management with objectively based information to effectively assess the full range of logistical asset accountability of all units/activities within the state. The purpose is to monitor and ensure effectiveness of operations regarding logistics accountability. Identifies process, system, and equipment on hand deficiencies by applying defect prevention principles and root cause problem resolution techniques and recommends corrective action for each. Serves as advisor to the USPFO and his staff members regarding compliance, readiness posturing as relates to accountability, and mission limiting issues. Work involves developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising, or improving the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, management controls, and similar functions of management.

Substitution of Education for specialized experience: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements. You must include the diploma and transcripts to support the education. Failure to do so could impact your consideration.

Applicants claiming Priority Placement Program, DoD MR and NG Preference Eligible Tech Receiving Disability Retirement must submit the following documentation: Military Reserve and Technician Disability PPP Self Certification Checklist (DD 3145-2) Termination SF-50 Separation stating that the applicant has Priority Placement Eligibility Notice of Separation confirming of eligibility. Applicants claiming DOD Military Spouse preference must submit the following documentation: Marriage Certificate Spouses PCS Orders Military Spouse PPP Self Certification Checklist Applicants claiming DoD Retained Grade preference must submit the following documentation: Retained Grade PPP Self Certification Checklist (DD3145-1) SF-50 effecting the placement in retained grade status, and A copy of the notification letter received (RIF or classification downgrade)
