Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) at Cape Canaveral SFS, FL is searching for a Launch-Range Program Analyst to support SYD 80E (NH-0343-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: The US Space Force Portfolio Acquisition Executive - Space Access Team is looking for an expert leader to be the Chief, Launch and Manifest Branch (NH-0343-03) at Cape Canaveral SFS, FL. Reporting directly to the Space Access Division Chief, the Branch Chief leads an experienced team developing the operational launch manifest and payload processing capacity implementation for all USSF and mission partner space vehicle delivery requirements-including critical, emerging Combatant Command capabilities. In this role, you will play a vital part in executing the Space Force Current Launch Schedule Review Board to establish the official launch firing order, shape DAF and USSF launch policy, and influence requirements development for all Space Access missions and units. To be successful in this role, a Guardian will need to be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The role requires guiding experienced teams to build the future Space Force and Mission Partner launch manifest and accelerate the USSF Payload Processing capacity implementation. It requires ability to lead projects, plan and execute assignments independently, anticipate problems, and develop innovative solutions to complex issues. The candidate must be a collaborative team player essential for coordinating with various staff offices, external mission partners, and other USG agencies (NASA, NRO, etc) to achieve consensus and resolve issues. The position demands the ability to analyze, interpret, and solve highly complex problems, often developing new techniques and establishing precedents. The candidate must excel in both written and oral communication, capable of presenting briefings, preparing formal reports, and negotiating complex matters with management and external partners. Ideal Candidate: Background: Working knowledge of the launch manifesting processes from requirements generation, mission planning, to payload manifesting. Familiarity with payload processing facilities/processes. Education: Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field (Desired, not required). Launch Acquisition / Operational Expertise: Expert knowledge of USSF space launch and range operations, particularly in manifesting, payload processing, policy, and technology. Analytical Skills: The ability to design and conduct comprehensive studies on broad and important launch manifesting and contingency areas.
