Summary
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) CMWR; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); NBK Bremerton.
Duties
Warehouse Administration (65%) Performs a wide range of warehousing activities including receiving, storing and issuing a variety of supplies, materials and equipment. Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments. Coordinates deliveries with base supply center. Acts as a receiving agent and verifies quantity against purchasing documents. Verifies that goods are intact and free of defects. Reports over, short or damaged conditions. Completes and signs shipping and receiving documents. Conducts inventory, which requires counting types and quantities of items. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse to meet safety and fire regulations. Sweeps floors and disposes of packing materials and boxes. Determines organization, arrangement and layout of storage space. Stocks merchandise on shelves, stacks pallets and in designated areas grouping like items together. Ensures inventory is properly stored and secured. Issues supplies using the first in first out practice and notifies supervisor when inventory gets low. Maintains purchasing, inventory and transfer files/documents. Operates vehicles such as stake trucks, pallet jack, fork lifts, dollies, box truck with lift gate, etc.
Requirements
Possess a minimum of 1 year of direct customer service experience Must be over the age of 18. Must possess or be able to obtain a forklift driver's license within first 60 days of employment which requires passing a medical examination prior to taking the forklift classes and exam. Possess or ability to obtain first aid and CPR certification within 90 days of reporting to the job. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. The incumbent must be able to lift and move objects weighing as much as 75 pounds on a regular basis. May be required to wear protective clothing and shoes.
