We’re hiring a Senior HR Business Partner who will provide advanced Human Resources support for Dowbuilt, and serve as a strategic people leader and trusted advisor to Dowbuilt people managers and employees. The Sr. HRBP will coach and advise leadership on human resource-related issues and help design initiatives to ensure Dowbuilt is able to attract, develop, and retain a best-in-class workforce.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior HR Business Partner you’ll be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with leadership teams, fellow HRBPs and employees in their assigned business areas on all people strategy initiatives
  • Provide forward-looking counsel, coaching, and creative solutions that enhance the individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Lead talent initiatives such as setting strategic people related goals, talent review performance calibration sessions, annual compensation review and pay increase conversations
  • Consult with business leaders to create effective strategies to suit the unique needs of team members and the department. Provide partnership to business leaders to achieve the best team dynamics through competency work, employee engagement survey results, focus groups and upward feedback for leaders.
  • Identify risk and provide counsel to leaders to proactively anticipate and address complex HR issues impacting the business. Continually build knowledge of legal and compliance requirements. Partner with HR Resolution team or Legal team as needed/required.
  • Deliver strategic people partnership to support organizational change (re-org and org design, reporting, roles, expectations, job descriptions)
  • Deliver quarterly summaries of key business trends, analytics, and relevant information to share from the HR function. Utilize excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to tell a story.
  • Attend scheduled business meetings to stay apprised of and alignment to business unit goals and objectives. Connect with dedicated business units to share insights on priorities and challenges across business units
  • Setup dedicated check-in with business leaders to discuss updates and progress against business goals, shifting priorities and new challenges
  • Collaborates across the entire HR team to ensure consistent delivery of messaging and strategy.
  • Serve as a vital link between HR Operations, Benefits, Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations, fostering collaboration between all HR teams. Mentors, coaches and help to develop junior members of the HR team.
  • Participate in broader projects across the HRBP team and/or HR organization
  • Other tasks, requests, and projects may be assigned to support the business needs

TRAVEL: Some regional travel may be required for this position (less than 30% of time)

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful as a Dowbuilt's Vice President of Human Resources, you’ll need:
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, and ability to establish credibility with leaders.
  • Able to influence leaders and coach for results.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, coaching, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence executives, managers, employees, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with expertise to interpret business metrics
  • Advanced ability to collaborate cross-functionally, think and perform strategically and tactically
  • Able to advise people managers and apply knowledge of policies and procedures, as well as common sense HR knowledge in a broad variety of circumstances.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong understanding of employment law
  • Must have the ability to approach each scenario from all perspectives
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems or reporting tools
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Able to help HRBPs and HR Generalists think through multiple possible outcomes to situations, and able to rely on knowledge, intuition, and past experience to determine a course of action that results in optimal resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or related field.
  • HR certifications preferred such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SHRM-CP
  • Experience supporting a geographically distributed or multi-location workforce

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The duties of this position require the employee to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, as well as the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The duties of this position also require the employee to frequently communicate with employees and clients, and the employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance or restriction

The base pay range for this position is $127,930-$142,329 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. New hires typically start below the midpoint of the range, with the opportunity for growth and advancement over time.
