Headquarters: India We’re looking for a Product Data and Labeling Specialist who can own the accuracy, structure, and flow of product data and labeling across a growing food distribution operation. This role sits at the intersection of operations, compliance, and supply chain, ensuring that product information, barcodes, and packaging specs are correct, consistent, and ready for market. You will manage labeling programs, barcoding standards, and specification documentation while coordinating closely with suppliers, internal teams, and creative partners. Why You’ll Want to Join You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th) Up to 14 days of Paid Time Off annually (starting Day 1) Observance of Holidays per company guidelines 100 percent remote setup so you can work wherever you’re most productive High-ownership role supporting long-standing product programs and new launches Opportunity to work cross-functionally across operations, supply chain, and creative teams What You’ll Work On Product Data and Barcoding Management Own and maintain product barcoding including UPC, EAN, and GS1 standards Manage product data through GDSN with familiarity or hands-on experience using GDSN-128 Ensure product identifiers are accurate, current, and aligned across internal and customer systems Support new item setup, product changes, and line extensions Labeling and Packaging Control Review, approve, and control all product labels and carton markings prior to production Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and customer requirements Maintain version control for labels, cartons, and packaging assets Coordinate packaging updates with suppliers and internal stakeholders Specification Documentation Create, update, and maintain detailed product specification sheets Ensure specs reflect current formulations, packaging, coding, and regulatory requirements Act as the source of truth for product specifications across teams and partners Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with suppliers to collect and validate product data and artwork Partner with internal operations, quality, and supply chain teams to maintain data integrity Collaborate with a graphic designer or creative partner on private label packaging updates Respond to customer inquiries, audits, and internal reviews related to labeling and data Process and Quality Support Maintain organized documentation for all product data and labeling materials Support audits and compliance checks related to product information Identify gaps or inconsistencies and proactively recommend improvements What You Bring 3 to 6+ years of experience in product data management, labeling, or packaging roles Strong working knowledge of GS1 standards with experience using GDSN Familiarity with or experience supporting GDSN-128 barcoding protocols Experience creating and managing product specification sheets High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication with internal and external partners Comfort managing multiple products, updates, and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft Office and product data or specification systems Nice to Have Experience in food, CPG, or import and distribution environments Familiarity with food labeling regulations and customer compliance requirements Experience supporting private label programs Background working with global suppliers or imported products How to Apply Please include: Your updated resume A short 1–2 minute Loom video introducing yourself and describing your experience with product data, labeling, or GS1 standards Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be considered.
